Thank you Gennady for this interesting presentation on your perspectives regarding war. As Ryan mentioned in the ’21-DAY EXPOSURE PERIOD FOR PLATFORM VOTE #4′ post about proposal ‘Option E4-C-1-b’, I also think there will still be a good function for a military apparatus.
My added perspective would be that it is justified to deploy a military force, if welcomed of course, to help protect neighboring countries. For example, station defensive oriented troops in the countries neighboring Syria to help protect themselves. I do think the military can be severely shrunk down, but could also benefit from a re-orientation more towards humanitarian help.
Furthermore, having such a support force, could be beneficial to help heal the damage done over time via politics through the military apparatus, as sticking noses where they don’t belong (which is how many around the world view the US when intervening/ go to war). I hope this makes sense.
