USTP Commends FDA’s “Commissioner’s National Priority Voucher” (CNPV) Program

U.S. Transhumanist Party Commends FDA for Ongoing Success
August 17, 2026 – Supporting the concept of bodily autonomy as an absolute, the United States Transhumanist Party (USTP) commends the series of rapid actions over the past year from the FDA’s “Commissioner’s National Priority Voucher” (CNPV). Any actions that allow Americans more access to the therapeutic molecules that stave off illness and death are in high agreement with our USTP Constitution.
The FDA’s official description of the program includes a section stating: “The CNPV pilot is consistent with the FDA’s mission aCommisioner’snd maintains the FDA’s established safety and effectiveness approval standards, scientific rigor and regulatory compliance requirements. It reflects the FDA’s broader commitment to create more efficient approval processes and modernize regulatory frameworks for greater agility to meet emerging public health needs.”
The FDA states that it is limited to the categories of Public Health, Large Unmet Needs, Affordability, Onshoring, and (importantly) Innovative Breakthroughs.
Section XLIX of the USTP’s constitution states: “The United States Transhumanist Party supports efforts to increase autonomy of individuals to decide over their own bodies and holds that individuals should have the legal right to undertake procedures including gender reassignment, hysterectomies, vasectomies, technological augmentation, cosmetic alterations, genetic enhancements, and physical supplementation at or after the age of 18 years, as long as this does not create health hazards or threats to other individuals.”
As granting access to new medicines falls squarely under the “as long as this does not create health hazards” clause, it is not our desire to see a “Wild West” of medicines provided with no expert guidance, but to simply see the speed of approval and access dramatically increased, which is exactly what this program has accomplished.
The most recent approval was Lipfendra, an oral PCSK9 inhibitor, making the ability to dramatically reduce one’s LDL cholesterol to prevent ASCVD no longer gated behind having to use an injectable – as is the case with standard PCSK9, such as Repatha.
GLP-1 receptor agonists are another significant innovation in medicine, allowing overweight individuals access to a molecule that works as an adjunctive to diet and exercise to decrease waist size, reduce cravings, improve BMI, and allow access to many activities previously unable to them.
We have the CNPV program to thank for their rapid accessibility to the American public.
These sort of “fast-track” actions by the Executive Branch are a supreme way to improve access and increase affordability to many medicines for Americans that would otherwise be significantly delayed, and are a prime example of the type of behavior that is in accordance with our shared values, the words of our Constitution, and the very first immutable ideal of the USTP – support of significant life extension achieved through technological progress.
