This image comes from RAAD Fest in San Diego, CA, and was taken on August 5, 2016, when Mr. Stolyarov had the opportunity for a brief conversation with Dr. Aubrey de Grey of SENS Research Foundation (right) – one of the most ambitious and scientifically rigorous advocates of reversing the damage of biological aging – and neuroscientist Dr. Randal Koene (center), who is working on achieving whole-brain emulation.
A bit of good news from Dr. de Grey: He observes that public opinion is gradually coming around to greater acceptance and receptiveness toward rejuvenation biotechnology, the effort to combat and reverse the damage of aging through a scientific, engineering-oriented approach – a project that, if successful, would imply greatly extended lifespans for those who can live long enough to attain longevity escape velocity.
