U.S. Transhumanist Party Endorsement of Drew Bingaman, Candidate for Pennsylvania State House, 108th District

April 6, 2026 – The United States Transhumanist Party has endorsed the candidacy of Drew Bingaman, who is currently running as an independent candidate for the Pennsylvania State House in the 108th District. This endorsement comes pursuant to the All Hands for a Free Future political coalition that was entered into with our partner organization, the United States Pirate Party, in September 2025. The United States Pirate Party most recently endorsed Drew Bingaman on March 11, 2026, when he re-launched his campaign as an independent candidate.

Drew Bingaman served as Captain of the United States Pirate Party in 2024 and the first half of 2025 and joined us as our guest during the USTP’s Second Virtual Enlightenment Salon with the U.S. Pirate Party on June 29, 2025. The U.S. Transhumanist Party will hold a further Virtual Enlightenment Salon with him on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 1 p.m. Pacific Time, 4 p.m. Eastern Time, to discuss his campaign for Pennsylvania State House. The public is encouraged to stay tuned for an announcement of the details of the Salon during the week leading up to the event.
More information about Drew Bingaman’s candidacy can be found on his campaign website at https://drewfor108.com. One can also visit the Facebook page of Drew Bingaman’s campaign and donate to the campaign.
“I am happy to receive your endorsement for my campaign”, stated Drew Bingaman, on April 3, 2026. The U.S. Transhumanist Party is likewise happy to endorse him because of numerous alignments between the USTP Platform and his own platform.
From Drew Bingaman’s Platform on Accountable Law Enforcement:
Government authority must be exercised openly and with accountability.
-
Ban masks on officers during public interactions
-
Require body cameras for all law enforcement
-
Guarantee free access to body camera footage
-
Strengthen Official Oppression laws
Section XXXIV of the USTP Platform includes the following statements: “law-enforcement officials, when interacting with the public, should be required to wear body cameras or similar devices continuously monitoring their activities.”
“The United States Transhumanist Party supports the use of technologies which increase monitoring of police action and policing activities, with expressed goals of increasing policing accountability.”
“The United States Transhumanist Party advocates for a requirement that data pertaining to recordings of police action be transmitted and recorded beyond police control, so as to be protected from falsification, deletion, and selective curation by police.”
Support for Cannabis Legalization
Drew Bingaman’s platform supports cannabis legalization, which is aligned with Section XIV of the USTP Platform, which states that “The United States Transhumanist Party supports an end to the costly drug war, which is often an infringement upon the lives and liberties of innocent citizens who do not use drugs but fall victim to militant enforcement of drug prohibitions. The United States Transhumanist Party supports legalization of mild recreational drugs such as marijuana.”
From Drew Bingaman’s Platform on Privacy & Digital Rights:
Privacy is a cornerstone of liberty. Without privacy, freedom cannot exist.
-
You own your personal data
-
Right to access and delete your data
-
Ban warrantless surveillance
-
Prohibit data used for intimidation
This is strongly aligned with Section I of the USTP Platform, which states that “The United States Transhumanist Party strongly supports individual privacy and liberty over how to apply technology to one’s personal life. The United States Transhumanist Party holds that each individual should remain completely sovereign in the choice to disclose or not disclose personal activities, preferences, and beliefs within the public sphere. As such, the United States Transhumanist Party opposes all forms of mass surveillance and any intrusion by governmental or private institutions upon non-coercive activities that an individual has chosen to retain within his, her, or its private sphere. However, the United States Transhumanist Party also recognizes that no individuals should be protected from peaceful criticism of any matters that those individuals have chosen to disclose within the sphere of public knowledge and discourse.”
From Drew Bingaman’s Platform on Open Government:
A free republic requires an informed and empowered public.
-
Strengthen Sunshine Laws
-
Lower barriers to public records
-
Require transparent spending disclosure
-
Make government accessible to all
The USTP Platform has numerous sections on Reforming Political Processes and Improving Governmental Accountability, in particular, Section LXVIII, which discusses the importance of public accessibility to the statements made by elected officials.
From Drew Bingaman’s Platform on Economic Freedom:
The Commonwealth’s strength comes from its people, not monopolies.
-
Oppose monopolistic practices
-
Support small businesses and workers
-
Resist corporate-written laws
-
Put individuals over institutions
The USTP Platform supports “a free-market society” in Section XLVIII of its platform and in Section XXXVIII supports “a system of unfettered market competition and innovation” in the energy area in particular, which is often dominated by monopolies (especially in the utility sector) today. Sections LXXX, LXXXI, and LXXXII oppose monopolistic practices in the fields of medicine and drug discovery.
From Drew Bingaman’s Platform on Free Expression:
Free people must be free to think, speak, create, and share.
-
Defend freedom of expression
-
Oppose government censorship
-
Support free exchange of ideas
-
Encourage innovation without overregulation
The USTP Platform, in Section XX, states that “The United States Transhumanist Party strongly supports the freedom of peaceful speech; religious, non-religious, and anti-religious philosophical espousal; assembly; protest; petition; and expression of grievances. The United States Transhumanist Party therefore strongly opposes all censorship, including censorship that arises out of identity politics and the desire to avoid perceived offensive behavior.”
Shared Opposition to the Duopoly
In a statement made on April 1, 2026, Drew Bingaman also expressed alignment with the USTP’s opposition to the entrenchment of the political duopoly in the United States. He noted:
“If the only argument for voting Democrat is ‘we’re not Republicans,’ that’s not a platform – it’s a hostage situation.
I’m not splitting anything. I’m giving voters a CHOICE.
For decades, District 108 voters have been told: ‘Pick between these two party insiders or you’re helping the other side.’
That’s not democracy. That’s a rigged game.
If Democrats are worried about losing to me, they should ask themselves WHY voters prefer an independent over their party insider.
Maybe it’s because people are tired of:
- Broken promises
- Corporate PAC money
- Party loyalty over constituent needs
- The same failed policies election after election
I’m not the problem. The two-party system is the problem.”
Indeed, the two-party system is the problem. For this reason among many others, the U.S. Transhumanist Party is pleased to endorse Drew Bingaman and his challenge to the two-party system in Pennsylvania. The USTP looks forward to continuing our discussions with Mr. Bingaman during our Virtual Enlightenment Salon of May 10, 2026.
