Proposal for Argentina to Declare a Mandate for Longer Life Spans and the Reasonable Treatment of Aging as an Ailment
A National Techno-Progressive Policy Proposal for Argentina to Declare a Mandate for Longer Life Spans and the Reasonable Treatment of Aging as an Ailment
Respectfully Submitted to the Ministry of Health of Argentina
The United States Transhumanist Party (USTP) has been associated with public health initiatives and emerging-technology policymaking since 2014; we have many State-level parties, associates, partner organizations, and foreign ambassadors around the world. At this time in history and out of a sense of duty to the future, we are compelled to submit this public-policy proposal designed to not only enhance the public health and prosperity of Argentina, but also to make it a model for techno-optimistic progress around the world.
As such the USTP humbly submits this proposal to the Minister of Health of Argentina to work together to assure the prevention of future pandemics and jointly tackle broader health concerns with life extension as its goal. It is our intention with this proposal to encourage the Minister of Health of Argentina to declare a mandate for longer life spans and the reasonable treatment of aging as an ailment.
Purpose: This declaration promises to generate accolades from the global community for the Minister of Health particularly and Argentina generally as forward-thinking and serious leaders in the future of human welfare and scientific development. It will ensure that Argentina will be recognized as the world’s first techno-optimistic, progressive constitutional democracy.
Benefit to the Argentine Government from accepting this proposal: The USTP holds that this bold declaration will further enhance Argentina’s status in the Western Hemisphere. Aside from the importance to humanity that this declaration provides in the name of Science, it will act to promote tourism and investment, and to encourage more civic undertakings from an increased interest in Argentine affairs.
The USTP will be approaching the governments of San Marino and Liechtenstein to persuade them to make similar declarations in the wake of this worldwide pandemic. However, we are reaching out to the home country of Salvador Mazza to champion this cause to inspire other nations to follow your lead and provide citizens with a new level of public health services and longer lives.
We look forward to your response and the potential of working with Minister Ginés González García and his capable team.
Signed,

Aging is a disease, Cure aging now!
I will like to add my name to the comments.
These steps will improve health and well-being for everyone.
Each day we are closer to developing a cure for the only universal disease that plagues humanity. As we prepare to move beyond the limitations of Earth, so too should we move beyond the limitations of our natural longevity. Please join us in finding a cure for aging and advance humanity into a new age of freedom and perseverance.
Of course I would love to support this motion. It is one of the most important assertions of our time. Every discovery and step forward is one that can safeguard our friends and loved ones.
This is revolutionary. The support of government legislation will be instrumental in shifting public perception on the silent pandemic of aging.
I support this CURE AGING!!
Aging is like the one ring, the master disease of all other diseases. We have to cure aging, get that ring to mount doom and cast it into the fires. Cure aging to cure many debilitating, deadly diseases.
Important, but this lags importance behind declaring pure air, water, land, food, housing, medical care and education “human rights.”
Without these, a cure for aging is only a means for those in power to remain indefinitely, abusing that power.
by curing aging we cure most deseases that cause suffering and kill humanity
Declaring ageing a disease could be a huge influence for other countries to do the same and become a huge step for healthspan and life extension.
Aging is the costliest of all human diseases, and the sooner we address it as such, the sooner our governments will be able to focus on other pressing issues, such as climate change.
The US spends U$ 305 billion taxpayer dollars yearly on the care of those with Alzheimer’s, and other dementias. The so-called “diseases of aging,” together, generate trillion-dollar expenses.
The humanitarian thing to do is to act soon.
Gennady, I would like to sign this proposal.

I will sign.
Humanity as a whole must work in unison to take our next evolutionary steps as a transhuman space-faring species, where time is abundant and short lifespans are a hindrance.
This is an important step in humanities fight against the disease of aging. It can’t be properly fight against until we look at it for what it truly is, a disease, not an inevitability.
I will sign this.

Mi máximo respeto y a vuestras ordenes.
Declaring aging a “medical condition” or a “disease” is very important for all governments because governments are supposed to protect their citizens. Aging is killing about 110,000 people on average per day, yet governments are currently not doing much to fight aging. We need to massively fund rejuvenation scientific research ASAP!
It’s the right thing to do.
Jason Geringer – Member of the Transhumanist party
We must address the real threat to all.
I will be happy to sign this statement. Aging cuts so much potential short and unfulfilled. It’s clearly a universal disease that is worth our resources to end.
I will sign.
Andrew Eckley – Member of the Transhumanist Party
I am Hundred percent in support of this movement. Aging is a disease and it must be cured. How can I set up one in Africa?
Since life is evolving further into the inorganic realm as a collective superorganism; biological ageing and fraility seem to be a threat to the expansion of life beyond Earth. Hence, it needs to considered a pathology.

Absolutely. Signed.
I support this fully. I would also like to sign the petition. The precedent that this sets could potentially cause a global shift in the thinking towards Aging, and Transhumanism as a whole. This could potentially shine a much brighter spotlight on the ideals with which we build the Transhumanist Movement.

Hello,
Aging should be fought and considered a disease. I would like to sign.
Aging MUST be considered a medical problem as a whole. The main characteristics of aging are disease and and death. We have cured many infectious diseases but not one age-related disease. It is time to change this. Gerontology and Geriatrics are extending Life Expectancy but in bad health, we need to extend Lifespan. We need to change the paradigm and start applying regenerative medicine to prevent, reverse and eradicate aging.

El envejecimiento es una enfermedad.
We are experiencing the biggest pandemic the world has ever seen, much bigger than the Spanish flu, even bigger than the Bubonic Plague. But hardly anyone notices while the world shuts down over COVID-19, a deadly but temporary pandemic. Meanwhile, aging kills over 100,000 people EVERY DAY. Cure aging, and diseases such as cancer and heart disease will be rarely seen.
I support this declaration. Please add me to the list of signatories.

This will be an inconspicuous step into a new future in the hallways of humankind, whose prior corridors bear the markings of ornamental tint – a testament to humanity’s squander of material in its half-hearted, disorganized attempts at anesthesia, the rearing of its head toward temporary comfort in the ultimately destructive scourges of mysticism and sentimentality, sacrificing resource in the wasteful fire of comfort as opposed to using them to advance further. In officially classifying aging as disease, the government will be forced to act upon its associated extreme morbidity, and hence contribute its capital to alleviating this biological blemish. Biological immortality is consistent with the ideal of progress and improvement in its ability to grant a mind unlimited time to extract information, which can only lead to the development of other such advantageous technologies, ferrying humanity away from impotence and paving its path to Elysium in omnipotence.
