Background and History
The U.S. Transhumanist Party has undertaken to revive and redesign LEV: The Game, which was initially attempted in 2014 by the original developer team, consisting of Anthony Lamot, Mathieu Hinderyckx, and Maxime Devos.
In 2020, the U.S. Transhumanist Party reached out to Anthony Lamot and obtained the rights to resurrect LEV: The Game. Unfortunately, the code for the original Alpha version was lost and would not be compatible with more recent versions of Android systems in any event.
Gennady Stolyarov II redesigned the game logic and made the game turn-based, with many additional events, technologies, and a basis in 2018 CDC Mortality Tables. (Xu JQ, Murphy SL, Kochanek KD, Arias E. Mortality in the United States, 2018. NCHS Data Brief, no 355. Hyattsville, MD: National Center for Health Statistics. 2020.)
In late 2023, programmer Juraj Ĺ tern-VukotiÄ was hired to code the most current PC version.
Illustrations and ideas for further game events and mechanics were crowdsourced. Some images were AI-generated.
Game music was composed by Gennady Stolyarov II; many of the pieces were remastered by Jason Geringer. Hear them as part of our Futuristic Neoclassical Music Virtual Concert here.
Build 0.91 is now available. Game features implemented since 2024:
â˘Which historical figure or famous animal has oneâs character outlived?
â˘More futuristic events later on in the game, including world events that affect the characterâs motivation and Energy levels.
â˘Tiers of Advocacy with varying Energy expenditure and effectiveness
â˘Many more artworks, including those that give Energy to the character
