The U.S. Transhumanist Party is pleased to announce the endorsement of a candidate during the 2022 election season – Daniel E. Twedt – who is running for City Council in Thousand Oaks, California.

Our electronic vote of the members, which took place on October 22-26, led to an overwhelming endorsement of Mr. Twedt’s candidacy by 90.6% of the members who cast their votes.

Yes: 58 votes – 90.6%
No: 3 votes – 4.7%
Abstain: 3 votes – 4.7%
Watch the U.S. Transhumanist Party Virtual Enlightenment Salon with Daniel Twedt, conducted on September 25, 2022, where the U.S. Transhumanist Party Officers spoke in detail about Mr. Twedt’s campaign and positions, and questions from the general public were also addressed.
Mr. Twedt, a long-time U.S. Transhumanist Party member, previously ran in 2020, when he gained 3,437 votes, or 3% of the total. During his campaign, he spread awareness of the U.S. Transhumanist Party in local newspapers. Mr. Twedt shared his beliefs and the work he does to bring his vision to life, and requested an endorsement by the USTP.
We wish Mr. Twedt the greatest possible success in his campaign. The more votes he gathers in Thousand Oaks and the more awareness he brings to the philosophy of transhumanism and the values and Platform positions of the U.S. Transhumanist Party, the further along we will be in broadening the base of public support for building the next era of our civilization.
